Why SSG exists

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.

Soft Skills Group CIC is a Greater Manchester community interest company. We connect personal development, practical skills and real-world opportunities — so young people can move from potential to possibility.

The gap

Practical skills

Hands-on chances to build, code, create and lead aren't available to every young person.

The gap

Trusted adults

Not every young person has someone in their corner who listens and helps them plan.

The gap

Real opportunities

Contacts, experiences and pathways too often depend on postcode or circumstance.

Our approach

How we work with young people

Step 1 of 5

Listen

Every young person starts with a conversation. We find out what they care about, what's getting in the way and what they want to try.

Our evidence

How we measure progress.

SSG is at an early stage. We're collecting our first evaluation data now, and we'll only publish figures we can verify. Here's what we measure and how.
